"Farmers who benefitted from ZeroFly Livestock installation [in a trial] are very impressed about the positive difference the product made on their farms and animals."

"Zero grazing helps to regulate feeding for effective growth because when the animals are kept in a structure the farmer is able to control and select the type of feed necessary for animals at different stages of growth. It also prevents the animals from contagious diseases, which is almost impossible when the animals are allowed to free range. Animals are protected from predators and accidents. These in the long run help reduce production cost. Finally, smaller land space is required for keeping animals."

"ZeroFly Livestock has reduced fly concentration and improved sanity and general living conditions in our area. Our farm is located in a residential area and our neighbors used to complain bitterly about the nuisance of flies in the area because of the rearing of pigs – we have no more complaints We have also faced various problems and requests from neighbors asking us relocating the farm to an excluded area but since we installed ZeroFly® Livestock the fly population has reduced drastically. The health of our animals has also improved a lot and there have been no recent cases of still birth, which we used to often experience."

"I have personally experienced ZeroFly® Livestock...and was very curious because I had never seen anything like that before on a pig sty, and as I enquired about it and got closer to the farm I saw a lot of dead flies and the sanity on the farm was overwhelming because you do not usually see such things on other farms around. The use of the net by other farmers will really help them to reduce production cost because the farmers will not spend money on medication on disease caused by these flies. The sanity on the farm will encourage more people in my village to engage in pig farming and also make it more attractive. I am personally going to act as an ambassador for the net and advice all the pig farmers in my area to use ZeroFly Livestock because of the enormous benefits it brings to the farmer and the animals."

Zerofly Livestock® was installed on my farm about 8 months ago. Before the installation of the material I was faced with a lot of problems with tsetse flies, diseases and still birth...after installation of ZeroFly® I could clearly see the difference between my animals and those of my brother at the farm next door. Even the very day installation was done, I saw a lot of flies killed upon contact with the net; there are no more diseases and sores on the skin of the animals which was caused by the tsetse flies. My animals since the installation concentrate and feed well without any disturbance by the flies; I have also realized the increase in weight of my pigs, which is a plus to me because in Ghana pigs are sold by their weight...The net has really helped me to cut down my production cost because I do not spend money on drugs and issues related to diseases anymore."

"Fly nuisance is a major problem we know the farmer is going to face, so when I was introduced to ZeroFly Livestock, I understood the concept and realized it was a good innovation and an intervention to curtail this. I therefore took it upon myself to help propagate the message to farmers to use the material...Staff and technical experts in the Agricultural ministry have endorsed this product; some of these people themselves are actually using it on their farms.
It is my hope that all livestock farmers will buy into this idea and use the material in order to prevent preventable diseases in their stock. It is evident that use of ZeroFly Livestock can help reduce production cost and help farmers to save money for other necessary farm inputs.
The ministry can comfortably endorse this product because we have seen how it works and the enormous benefits it will bring to our farmers."

"ZeroFly will bring a lot of benefits to my community because even diseases transmitted by flies from animals to humans will be reduced. In Ghana most farms have a lot of flies and the people have been so used to it and do not really realize and understand the problems the flies bring to the animals...upon seeing the sanity in the sty, I am convinced that ZeroFly will make pig farming very attractive and thus encourage most young men in my community to get involved in pig production. Most people do not engage in pig farming specifically because of the fly menace and other things which pose a lot of nuisance to the farmers. Therefore this product comes as an intervention that can solve these problems."
