Reuben Granich, Head of Health and Data Science

Dr. Granich brings over 25 years of public health expertise, spanning roles in government, the UN, and private healthcare. He has extensive experience in HIV, malaria, and TB disease control in the US and over 25 low- and middle-income countries. His professional journey includes key positions at the US Centers for Disease Control, World Health Organization, UNAIDS, and PEPFAR. He’s a co-author of the widely translated book “HIV, health and your community: a guide for action.” Having published 100+ scientific articles on HIV, TB, COVID, health policy, economics, and human rights, he boasts a diverse educational background with an MD, dual post-graduate residencies, and an MPH in Epidemiology. A retired Captain in the US Public Health Service, Dr. Granich now heads Digital Health and Data Science at Vestergaard, focusing on leveraging mobile tech to enhance disease control and development. Other interests include blockchain, AI, and machine learning for public health and he believes in the synergy of digital health and community engagement to uplift millions. Beyond work, he enjoys skiing, sailing, biking, and cold-water swimming.
