Guiding Principles

Vestergaard continuously strives to be a business that is based on corporate responsibility and integrity. These values have been and will continue to be its core guiding principles.

As member of the United Nations Global Compact (UNGC) since 2007, the Vestergaard’s Code of Conduct embraces the UNGC’s principles regarding doing business with integrity, avoiding bribery and corruption, protecting assets, and creating a positive and rewarding workplace. At the beginning of 2021, Vestergaard became a Certified B Corporation®. Becoming a Certified B Corporation® commits us to consider long-term stakeholder impact by integrating it into our legal structure.

To achieve all this, Vestergaard implemented a structured Compliance training for its employees on the Code of Conduct and other company global policies. Vestergaard also expects that its business partners uphold to similar standards to the ones outlined in its Code.

Monitoring & Reporting

Vestergaard’s Internal Compliance Council oversees implementation and adherence to the Code of Conduct and Compliance in general. The Council reports to Vestergaard’s Board of Directors and is comprised of the CEO, the CFOO, the General Counsel, and the Head of Internal Audit and Compliance.

Vestergaard encourages its employees to speak up and provides them with appropriate tools to report in good faith potential Compliance issues through secure mechanisms internally or externally (whistleblower hotline). All reported Compliance issues are investigated and followed up.
