At the beginning of 2021, Vestergaard became a Certified B Corporation®.
This certification is the only one to measure a company’s social and environmental performance. To fulfill the requirements, we had to prove how our operations and business model positively impact our workers, community, customers and the environment.
Becoming a Certified B Corporation® commits us to considering the long-term impact of our business on our stakeholders, and integrating this commitment into our legal framework.
To remain certified, we must ensure transparency and accountability to parties outside our own organisation who, like us, are committed to using business as a force for good. We cannot realise our mission and goals without recognising our interdependence on others.
Considered the leading social certification standard for factories and organisations across the globe, certified organisations must demonstrate their dedication to the fair treatment of workers.
Our manufacturing sites have maintained their SA8000:2014 accreditation through bi-annual audits performed by international auditing bodies BSI and SGS.
We obtained ISO 14001:2015 certification, an internationally agreed standard that ensures we adhere to environmental management, at our manufacturing site in the north at the end of 2020.
