Allan Mortensen joined Vestergaard in 2002 after a serendipitous encounter with a former schoolmate in Kenya, leading to an exciting opportunity in West Africa. Three months later, he relocated to Ghana to establish Vestergaard West Africa, where he began his impactful journey in the company. With over two decades of experience, Allan is passionate about driving real, measurable impact, combining business and good in a sustainable way. He believes in harnessing the power of the private sector to create positive change while being realistic about achievable goals.

As Director of Agriculture and Special Products, Allan focuses on spotting opportunities and leading initiatives with patience, integrity, and a relentless drive for success. He thrives on bringing together diverse teams to tackle complex challenges, always aiming for results that are not only profitable but also sustainable.

In his free time, Allan enjoys hiking in Switzerland, though his adventures are often more about finding great views and cozy restaurants than reaching the peak. He’s also embraced yoga and ice swimming, mostly as an excuse to relax in a sauna with friends afterward.
