Update on plans to expand insecticidal mosquito net manufacturing capacity in Nigeria

8 July 2026 – Lagos, Nigeria. Vestergaard Sàrl announced today an update on the company’s plans to establish a manufacturing facility in Nigeria to produce its latest insecticidal mosquito net technology, PermaNet Dual, to bolster the country’s ambitious malaria response.

Following a thorough review of the project structure and strategic considerations, the previously contemplated joint venture (SNG Health) between Vestergaard and Harvestfield Industries Limited will not proceed. Instead, Vestergaard has taken the decision to move forward with establishing its own manufacturing facility, named Health Textiles Nigeria FZE, which will be situated in the Lagos Free Zone.

We anticipate that Health Textiles Nigeria FZE will be up and running in the coming months. Vestergaard’s firm commitments to Nigerian job creation, training and local capacity building remain unchanged, with hiring and training already well underway.
